How the spot Program Works:
- Once your spot Application is approved, you will receive your voucher(s) either by U.S. Mail or e-mail (depending on how you elect to receive your voucher).
- Make an appointment for the surgery with Sunset Animal Hospital by calling 954-749-9388
- You will pay $10 (cash only) for each pet to the veterinarian at the time of surgery.
- Each household may receive up to four (4) vouchers. Each voucher is valid for up to three (3) months and will expire after 90 days.
- Your pet will also receive, at no additional charge, a rabies vaccination (if necessary). A rabies vaccine and pet license are required for all dogs and cats living in Broward County.
- Animal Care and Regulation Division will provide a free Broward County pet license for your pet(s). The pet license is good for one year and will expire one year from the date of the rabies vaccination.
- Broward County law requires that your pet(s) be vaccinated against rabies AND licensed every year. Failure to have a yearly rabies vaccination and purchase a pet license will result in a fine of up to $125 per animal.
